Ahh January. A time to resolve to make ourselves better.
We'd like to resolve to make the gym better, so while we don't hand out burpee penalties or play CrossFit police, we do have a few unspoken rules, and one spoken one.
1) Close the bathroom doors. Have you ever seen a toilet in the background of a picture? Rarely. It happens but not often and thats because I close the doors. You should too. ESPECIALLY IF YOU BOMB THE BATHROOM. All the bathrooms have air freshener spray *and* fans. A couple squirts, leave that fan running, and close the door. No one else appreciates the stench emanating from a wide open door.
2) While you're by those bright yellow walls, STAY OFF THEM. That took 2 days and 5 coats of paint to accomplish. Unless you're willing to fix it all, keep your shoes, your lacrosse balls, and whatever else you decide to put up against a wall over on the BLUE WALLS which are spacious and already suffiently scuffed up.
3) Speaking of another place your shoes shouldn't go- please keep them off the mats. They tear them up. (and at $60 each our Airex mats aren't cheap to replace)
We try really hard to keep RCF a clean, well maintained facility with top of the line gear. We do need your help in not wrecking what we use everyday. We're pretty hard on equipment by nature and we understand wear and tear, but a little effort goes a long way in stretching the life and atmosphere in here.
PS. Can anyone tell me the one spoken rule?
