Saturdays effort was the culmination of a lot of people putting in a lot of time for one cause. I should have a rough amount of the money we're sending to FRAXA soon, as well as a minute to post the complete standings but until I can find a 25th hour in my day I need to thank some RCF people and get back to making school lunches.
To my volunteers who make my day so much more FUN! Jenny, Karla, Tim, Kim, Andy, Ezra, Kathey, Sharon, Jenn, Carol, Dez, Dave, Tim, and Alicia --- there's no way this day would be successful with out you. Its one thing to put on a competition but completely another to put on an EVENT.
To the "inside the ropes" crew of judges and equipment peeps - Rory, Brian, Tracy, Richard, Chuck, Josh, Joe, Travis, Bray, Cheryl, Rob N and Jerrod- a competition can't run without keen eyes, willing hands, and on-the-job help. Thank you guys for making the competition run so smoothly.
I need to thank our athletes because without you guys this whole "competition" thing just wouldn't work - Way to go Courtney, Marisa, Rob Y, Jack, Sam, Aaron, Dan, and Brenden.
Of course my biggest thanks goes to my mom who travels to us, herds Casey and Sam for days on end, and makes sure the guest of honor arrives with matching shoes. on.
This whole strongman thing was Kurtis' idea so we have him to thank for such a fun, important day and for coming up with a way to fund research.
I know I've only thanked the RCFer's who were here with us on this day- there are many more who worked behind the scenes in the days and weeks leading up to this event. There are also countless others from outside RCF who join the ranks of "the people who make it happen" and I am grateful for you all.
Thank you!
